Very true VB. I was at the Alpsfest at Hunter Mtn about 30 yrs ago. The oom pah pah band was playing and most folks were sitting there listening and drinking beer. Jimmys bus pulled up behind the bandstand and his band got off the bus with their instruments in hand. By their second song people were dancing on the tabletops! Unforgetable!

Boy Bossguy, did you ever bring back a 'memory! I remember going to Hunter, for the German Alps festival, during the early 70's.Remember the very 'large' tent they had set up for the bands, dance floor, and lots of tables to feast upon 'real' German food, and plenty of German 'grog' to wash it down with! I remember also, seeing the Budweiser Clydesdale horses too.Man were they tall with big feet also! Coming back down the mountain 1/2 lit was a 'trip',a bit windy.steep, and looking over the sides, scary! I agree with you 100% Jimmy draws a large crowd, where ever he goes for years! He gets the crowds going! V Bob,and Brian M. get those polka dancing shoes ready for a work out!!!

HEY

Lessons! Au contraire monami !Took lessons and did concerts for 15 years!
I sold my last 120 bass Excelsior when the trill of the stage and live audience went away in the early 70's I looked for another trill, got my class 1 and started driving over the road!!!
Oh, my sister still has hers but I will never strap one on again! Been there done it!!
